These rules apply to every character and account on this server. Breaking them can lead to a name lock, a temporary ban or the permanent removal of the account, depending on how serious the case is and whether it has happened before. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse for breaking it.
1. Names
A character name must not:
- insult, threaten or harass anyone, in any language;
- contain slurs, sexual content or references to illegal activity;
- advertise another server, a website, a brand or a product;
- impersonate a member of the staff, or suggest an official role;
- be a nonsensical string of letters typed at random.
Names that break these rules are locked. You will be asked to pick a new one the next time you log in.
2. Cheating
The following are not allowed under any circumstance:
- bots, macros, auto-clickers or any program that plays for you, whether you are at the keyboard or not;
- modifying the client to gain an advantage, or using a client other than the official one distributed here;
- abusing a bug instead of reporting it. If you find one, tell the staff;
- trading account data, characters, items or currency for real money outside the official shop;
- sharing or selling accounts.
3. Behaviour
Player versus player conflict is part of the game and is not against the rules. What is against the rules is what happens outside of it:
- insulting, threatening or harassing other players in chat or by private message;
- spamming, flooding channels or repeating the same message to disrupt conversation;
- advertising other servers;
- publishing someone else's personal information;
- pretending to be staff, or claiming to speak on their behalf;
- making false reports on purpose.
4. Accounts
Your account is yours and only yours. You are responsible for everything done with it, including anything a friend or family member does while using it. Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, and register your account to get a recovery key.
The staff will never ask you for your password, not in game, not on Discord, not by email. Anyone who does is trying to steal your account.
5. Reports and appeals
Report rule breaking to the staff with as much detail as you can: character names, the time it happened and a screenshot if you have one. Reports made in public channels will not be handled.
If you believe a punishment was a mistake, you can appeal it once. Appeal calmly and with facts; repeating the same appeal will not change the outcome.
6. Changes
These rules can change as the server grows. Any change is announced on the news page before it takes effect.
