What is on in Solera, and when

There is always something about to happen.

Solera runs on a schedule, and the schedule is public. Nothing here is a surprise draw: you can plan the evening around it, which is the whole point.

Every hour, a minigame

Bomberman, Capture the Flag and the Zombie Arena take turns, one every hour on the hour, eight times a day each. Step on the event portal at the Thais temple during the two minutes after the announcement and you are in. Winners take 20 to 25 solera coins, everyone who plays takes 5.

One character per connection. A second client from the same connection cannot sign up, and cannot collect a second prize either.

Every weekend, a world bonus

From Friday 00:05 to Monday 00:05 the whole world runs with one bonus turned up, and it is a different one every weekend. The cycle is six weeks long and never repeats twice in a row:

Week 1Double loot
Week 2Double skill
Week 3Double experience
Week 4Rapid respawn
Week 5Double loot
Week 6Double experience

Double experience lands every three weeks, on purpose: often enough to plan for, rare enough to still feel like something.

Two raids a week, and one boss a month

Two announced raids every week — Wednesday at 20:00 and Sunday at 18:00 — and both are announced in game and on Discord an hour before, so nobody misses one for being in the wrong city.

The four bosses whose loot has no other source in the world — Ferumbras, Morgaroth, Ghazbaran and Orshabaal — come out once a month each, one per Saturday at 19:00. Gaz'haragoth takes the fifth Saturday when a month has one. That is deliberate: a hat that drops every day is not worth wearing.

Saturday night, the castle

At 21:00 on Saturdays the guilds storm the castle. Only characters in a guild can sign up, and it takes at least two guilds with three players each. Inside, generators guard each floor: bring them down to open the next one until the crystal appears on the roof. The guild that deals the most damage wins, and holds the castle until the next war — with the training hall, the aura, and 5% extra experience for its members.

Dying inside costs nothing and leaves no skull.

The full calendar, with what is on today and what falls next, lives on the Events page. See you there.
